Perfect late afternoon.

@Kuta.

At dusk,
I gazed blankly at the boy who took a late afternoon walk with his dogs.

The sun gradually went down and everything came into view
like the shadowgraph...that was beautiful scene.

The cherry blossoms.

@Seoul - Finaly the cherry trees have blossomed all over the place in Seoul.

ソウルの桜も町のあちこちで見られるようになりました。
"ソメイヨシノ"や"カスミザクラ"のような桜が多い中、
北村(プッチョン)の韓屋が立ち並ぶ辺りではこのような枝垂桜もありました。

@Seoul - These cherry blossoms and Magnolias are also beautiful.

Spring flowers are in all glory around the city now...

at the beginning of spring...

@Seoul - Finally~, I could find the sign of spring.

I walked around a town with warm spring sun.
Then I found one of spring flowers "Forsythia".
This is popular as a vernal flower in South Korea.

韓国の春の花と言えば「개나리(ケナリ)」
日本名では「レンギョウ」です。

街のあちこちで黄色い花がぽつぽつと咲いてきました。

やっと、 やっと 春到来! といった感じのするこの頃です。

At Gyeongbokgung Palace.

@Seoul - The changing of the guard ceremony at Gyeongbokgung Palace.

A few weeks ago, it had a heavy fall of snow in Seoul,
and the temperature was so low every day that the snow didn't thaw.
That's why I spent the most time at home by reading books, and watching DVD.
But the snow was thawing slowly, so I finally went out after so long.
The temperature was still a bit low(-8℃), but it's a cloudless blue sky.

It was interesting to see The Royal Guard Changing Ceremony.
The ceremony is held between 15:00 and 16:00.

New Year's holiday in Japan.

@Tokyo

It is a custom in Japan to visit a shrine or temple
to pray for happiness and good health...etc
during the New Years holiday.
